Established from 1 April 2013, Healthwatch Nottinghamshire is an independent organisation created to gather and represent the views of local people about the health and social care services they receive. Healthwatch Nottinghamshire will:

Ask people who use services in the County about their needs and experiences

  • Use the information we collect to make recommendations to local providers and commissioners
  • Speak to the public about proposed changes to services to influence how they are designed
  • Work with local organisations to seek the views of those who sometimes struggle to be heard
  • Signpost people to sources of help and support provided by:
  • Patient Advice and Liaison Services (PALS)
  • Nottinghamshire County Council Customer Contact Centre
  • Independent Complaints Advocacy Service (provided by POhWER)
